Rules

  1. Registration for the series is $10. This is a one-time fee for the 2008 series only and does not include entry into any race in the series. MNTRS is not involved with any race registration or administration.
  2. All runners must be registered in MNTRS before any points can be awarded. Only races run after registration will be counted in point total.
  3. Series points are determined by taking the winning series runner’s time, dividing by each runners time and multiplying by 100. For races with multiple distances points will be calculated for the designated distance. Anyone choosing to run an alternate distance will be awarded 25 points and listed as finishing the event. Runners will get 50 points for volunteering in any one MNTRS or Fab 5 Fifties race during the 2008 season.
  4. Age classes for men and women are 29 and under, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and above. Awards will be presented to top point earners in each age class. The runner’s age at the time of the first race determines his or her age class.
  5. Each race is under the control of its own race director. You must register for each race individually and follow all rules for each race. Disqualification from any series race is disqualification from the entire series.
  6. Standings for the series will be posted on this page.
  7. There will be special recognition for individuals who complete all the races in the MNTRS.
  8. All runners who register for the 2008 series will be entered in a drawing for two pairs of Vasque trail shoes.

Registration
The MN Trail Run Series is part of the Upper Midwest Trail Runners club. A $20 annual UMTR membership includes registration in both the MN Trail Run Series and an ultra race series. If you don't want to join UMTR, you can pay $10 to register for the MNTRS. Register for MNTRS via paper or by using the form below to process your payment through PayPal.
